Digital Link and GS1
- GS1 Digital Link is a standard. GS1 publishes it as an open, global standard for putting a web address inside a barcode, together with product identifiers such as the GTIN.
- Digital Link is a company. It builds a platform on that standard. It is not GS1, it is not the standard itself, and it does not compete with GS1.
- Conformant resolver. Digital Link runs a GS1-conformant resolver, so a brand's product identity stays portable and is never locked to the platform.
- GS1 partner. GS1 Australia lists Digital-Link, LLC as an Associate Alliance Partner.
- GS1 award. GS1 México presented Digital Link with the GS1 México Award for innovation in 2D barcodes at the ColaboraXión 2025 Forum.
Products
- GS1 QR codes: QR codes that carry the GTIN and other GS1 identifiers, for compliance, traceability and shopper engagement.
- Digital Link Resolver: routes every scan to the right content by location and device.
- Digital Product Passport: product transparency and traceability for the EU rules.
- SmartFacts: product information pages for Australia and New Zealand.
- AI for packaging: shoppers ask questions about a product and get answers drawn from the brand's own information.
- Digital Link API: REST API to create and manage QR codes and product data at scale.
- Analytics: scan and engagement data across the value chain.
- Custom QR codes: frames and design options on GS1-compliant codes.
